BJP leader and former Jammu and Kashmir Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta hailed India’s recent military action under Operation Sindoor as a powerful message to Pakistan and its sympathizers, calling the precision strikes a “slap” to those who support terrorism.
Speaking to ANI following the Indian Armed Forces’ successful strikes on nine terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK), Gupta remarked, “On April 22, terrorists said ‘Modi ko bol dena’, and today ‘Modi Ji ne bata diya’. This shows there is a strong government in India. It’s a slap on those who support Pakistan.”
The BJP MP praised the Indian Army and Air Force for their role in the operation, which was launched in retaliation for the Pahalgam terror attack that killed 25 Indian nationals and one Nepali citizen. He further made a provocative statement, predicting Pakistan’s eventual fragmentation and removal from the global map.
“Pakistan is not going to survive for long. It will be divided into several parts and will be removed from the world map,” Gupta asserted.
The Ministry of Defence confirmed that Operation Sindoor targeted terror infrastructure involved in orchestrating cross-border attacks on Indian soil. The operation utilized high-precision weapons, including loitering munitions, and was conducted entirely from Indian territory with coordinates provided by domestic intelligence agencies.
In a sign of rising tensions, Pakistan violated the Ceasefire Agreement shortly after the strikes, firing artillery in the Bhimber Gali sector of Jammu and Kashmir. The Indian Army is responding “appropriately in a calibrated manner,” according to an official post by the Additional Directorate General of Public Information (ADG PI) on X.
India has maintained that its actions were “focused, measured, and non-escalatory,” and targeted only terrorist infrastructure, not Pakistani military assets. The government has reiterated its commitment to holding those responsible for terrorism accountable.
